Earthquake jolts Hall near Innsbruck early Saturday

ORF reported that an earthquake near Hall in Tirol woke residents across the greater Innsbruck and Hall area early Saturday. There were no reports of damage to buildings.

GeoSphere Austria recorded the quake at a magnitude of 3.5. It struck at 4:42 a.m. at a depth of eight kilometres.

Listeners told Radio Tirol they had been woken by the tremor. Residents in high-rise buildings in Innsbruck’s Olympisches Dorf district also reported noticeable swaying.
