Längenfeld, rockfall, Tirol

A large rockfall hit a pasture near a settlement in the hamlet of Au in Längenfeld on Friday, ORF reported. Videos showed boulders and debris tumbling through steep, wooded terrain.

The rockfall occurred near the Loreto Chapel, police said. Längenfeld Mayor Richard Grüner said the incident ended without serious consequences. No people or animals were injured, and the nearby settlement was not hit.

State geologists have been informed, and the municipality is already coordinating with them. Drone flights are planned for Monday, after which officials will discuss whether safety measures are needed.
