Rosenbauer lifts revenue and profit in first half

A higher number of vehicle deliveries and stronger business in preventive fire protection helped Austrian firefighting equipment maker Rosenbauer increase revenue and profit in the first half, ORF reported on Friday.

The listed company, based in Leonding in the Linz-Land district, said revenue rose 3.5 percent year on year to 625.9 million euros.

Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation increased from 28.2 million euros to 38.8 million euros. Earnings before interest and taxes nearly tripled to 20.4 million euros, while profit before tax rose from a loss of 10.5 million euros to 11.1 million euros.

Rosenbauer is targeting full-year revenue of up to 1.6 billion euros and an EBIT margin of more than 6 percent.

First-half orders remained at a high level, totalling 717.8 million euros, according to the company. Orders increased in Europe and the Middle East and Africa, while tariff disputes affected dealer ordering patterns in the United States.

Despite this, the order backlog rose to 2.4 billion euros on June 30, 2026, from 2.35 billion euros a year earlier. Rosenbauer also increased its global workforce to 5,039 employees, 371 more than at the same point last year.
