Two injured in tandem paragliding crash on Koralpe

A 39-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were injured in a tandem paragliding accident on the Koralpe on Thursday afternoon, ORF reported. Both fell about 10 metres shortly before landing and were taken to Wolfsberg Regional Hospital.
The accident happened at about 3 p.m. as they approached a paragliding landing site in Wolfsberg. A sudden gust of wind caused the tandem paraglider to lift off again during the landing.
At a height of about 10 metres, the glider suddenly veered to the left, sending both occupants into a free fall. They landed in a field.
The man and woman sustained injuries of unspecified severity. Police are investigating the exact circumstances, including whether technical defects or external conditions contributed to the accident.
