Ismaning, public safety, Seebach

Hundreds of screws and nails have been found in the Seebach waterway in Ismaning, Bavaria, BR reported. The municipality said three buckets of the dangerous objects were recovered from the water with a magnet last weekend.

The discovery was made near the bridge between two allotment garden complexes. No one was injured, and the municipality said it appeared to be an isolated incident. No criminal complaint has been filed, but the municipality said it could take legal action if evidence emerges.

The Seebach is a popular bathing spot, especially during the summer. The municipality is urging visitors to exercise particular caution. Children should use the water only under supervision, and bathers are advised to wear water shoes.

The municipality said deliberately disposing of dangerous objects in the water poses a serious risk to the public and appealed to residents to treat waterways responsibly.
